Global Head of Group Insurance Risk Management to Ericsson

We are now looking for an experienced leader to join as Global Head of Group Insurance Risk Management. The role is organized within Group Treasury & Customer Finance, reports to the Group Treasurer and is a part of Group Function Finance. The role is located in our Global HQ in Kista, Sweden.

About the role

Your main responsibility will be to assure that Ericsson group is properly insured. You will be responsible for creating and developing good business relationships with brokers and insurance companies. In your role as Head of Group Insurance Risk Management, you will lead a function of 13 employees located in Kista Sweden and other locations globally. The team identifies and assess different risks in order to be able to determine the most accurate insurance solution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Procure, manage and coordinate all Group Insurance programs such as but not limited to Property Damage Business Interruption, General Liability, Professional Indemnity, Transportation insurance and Business Travel Insurance.
• Responsible for issuing Ericsson’s insurance directives, guidelines and tools to make sure that they are in line with general Group policies, Ericsson’s organization and business needs.
• Support functions and entities, such as M&A, Sourcing, Sales and other, within the Ericsson group with any insurance related matters.
• Drive risk awareness and loss prevention activities including risk engineering surveys.
• Captive operations. Ericsson has a Captive Insurance company: Ericsson Insurance AB, domiciled in Stockholm.

Professional experience and Personal skills

In order to succeed in the role, you are a qualified leader in the area of insurance and experienced to work in an international context. You have a proven track record as Manager in leading a team, preferably cross geographies. Your ambition is to together with the team constantly strive to reach and exceed expectations.

Further, we expect you are a strong negotiator and networker, with social skills. You are expected to communicate well on all levels, both internally and with external partners.

Key Qualifications:
• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Laws or equivalent.
• Very good understanding of risk management and Insurance, preferably within liability or financial lines. A suitable background is Risk Manager, Broker or Underwriter.
• Leadership skills and preferably experience from a large international company.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, and preferably basic understanding of one additional language.
• Excellent communication and social skills, including strong networking and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Adequate knowledge of relevant IT/IS tools used in order to perform duties and responsibilities, e.g. SAP.
