Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) is a department within Risk Advisory which mainly works with consultations in complex accounting, financial reporting and capital market issues. Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) is a part of CMAAS. Within AAS we deliver value to clients around accounting for complex transactions and accounting change. Among other things, we work with advising and implementation projects in connection with changes in accounting rules (eg IFRS 9, 15, 16 and 17), IFRS conversions and treasury accounting. We also work with consultancy in accounting and financial reporting within business combinations, consolidation, carve- outs, restructuring, capital raising and with CFO support. Job Description and Summary

Do you have experience of accounting and financial reporting of financial instruments or within the financial services sector? PwC’s Accounting Advisory Services team is growing and now you have the opportunity to join us in creating value through accounting and financial reporting, working with complex issues together with some of Sweden’s top advisors and specialists.

We are looking for advisors with experience in working with financial instruments or the financial services sector (bank, asset management or insurance) for our office in Stockholm.

Within Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) you will be a part of PwC’s Risk Advisory team, that works with consultations on complex accounting and financial reporting issues. We work with advisory and implementation projects in connection to changes in accounting rules (e.g. IFRS 9, 16 and 17), treasury accounting, IFRS conversions and digital reporting. We also advise our clients in a wide range of areas such as financial reporting, business combinations, consolidations, carve- outs, restructurings and capital raising.

Responsibilities
Being a consultant within Accounting Advisory, focusing on the financial sector, places high demands on abilities such as being flexible, relationship-building and having high attention to details. Working as an advisor in our team you will get the opportunity to provide clients with practical solutions to issues or questions within accounting and financial reporting, among others:
• IFRS implementation (e.g. IFRS 9, 16, 17)
• GAAP conversions (e.g. from Swe GAAP to IFRS)
• Treasury Accounting
• Hedge accounting
• Accounting advice relating to e.g. business combinations, consolidations, carve-outs, restructurings and capital raising
• Support to ensure accounting compliance and improvements of accounting routines and processes
• Digital reporting (ESEF)
• Preparation, support and review of IFRS financial statements and quarterly reports


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have more than five (5) years work experience in accounting and financial reporting.

Earlier experience of accounting and financial reporting in the financial services sector (bank, asset management or insurance) or accounting for financial instruments is an advantage as well as experience in working as a consultant.

As a person you are driven, flexible, outgoing and social with high ambitions. You like challenges, are curious and motivated to learn and want to develop yourself. Above this you should also have strong analytical ability. You are good at communicating and have a desire to develop people, services and business.
